I commend Ryan Anderson to you as a resource for thinking through the fast developing world of gender identity and gender politics. He was a student of Dr. Robert George and carries on the tradition of both civility and courage. Recently he has authored “When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment.”
The trans debates leave many of us far behind. It moves fast and is tsunamic. One gets quickly over their head and loses bearings. The intra-Left debates are tracked to demonstrate that there is by no means unanimity among the LBGTQ community. Note the recent dust up between Rose McGown and a trans person at one of her presentations. Many feminists are upset that men who transition to women choose stereotypical forms of feminine beauty to image themselves, thus betraying the feminist concern about body shaming.
Dr. Anderson is somebody you will want to stay close to as the ground shifts, shakes, and rolls. He is a serious Christian trained in Natural Law Theory. Thinks well and on his feet.
