Trinity Forum will be on Book TV featuring an “Evening Conversation with Ross Douthat” May 5 and May 6

The Trinity Forum Evening Conversation with Ross Douthat on Bad Religion will be showing on C-SPAN’s Book TV! The Evening Conversation featuring New York Times columnist Ross Douthat speaking on heresy and its consequences, with responses from National Public Radio correspondent Barbara Bradley Hagerty and Washington Post columnist Michael Gerson, was held on April 17 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, and will be broadcast on C-SPAN’s Book TV on the dates and times below:

Saturday, May 5 at 4:00 pm (EST)

Sunday, May 6 at 10:00 pm (EST)

I will begin reading Douthat’s book soon. I have viewed him reading portions of the book and doing Q&A at Book TV.  His response in that presentation to the book Eat, Pray and Love was stunning. He was also interviewed by Al Mohler. Douthat is a Roman Catholic who seems to be arguing that a return to the classic Christianity of the institutional church is the means of cultural rescue rather than relying on new, emergent and less institutional forms of Christianity.
