Every church service would open up with the guitar riff from “Money for Nothing” by Dire Straits. I can’t help it; that just seems right to me.

Rich people couldn’t give more to the church than poor people. If they could only tithe what the poor could tithe, then the poor would have as much say as the rich – and that would be a turnaround.

The Message translation would have verse numbers. I know it is impossible to do it that way but I really need those verse numbers.
