I’ve been thinking about how people do Christ-following in their fifties and sixties. The thing that impresses me as I look around is how heavy it gets for those in this phase of life. There was a time when I was surrounded by eager young spiritual bucks who were ready to change the world. Now there are plenty of those same people who feel getting through the week is a deal they will settle for.
